If you’re located in Orange County, you’re likely familiar with BMB from it’s commercials the date back to the 1980s with owner Jim Curwood in a bee costume. Not familiar with it, see the commercials here.

Jim Curwood

Owner Jim Curwood “Bicycle Jim” -  Borrowing money from his mom in 1978, Jim started his bike shop with the motto of treating people nice, selling cool stuff at a fair price and easy refunds if not happy. It hasn’t always been easy, but 33 years later Jim continues to live the dream, with earning loyal customers by treating people right. More on Jim

Our staff will help you in your choice. You will ride if you are comfortable. You won’t if you’re not.

Decide how much money you would like to spend. Come into the store with the intent of test riding the bikes in your price range, give or take $100. Wear your shorts and tennies. Ride them all, because you might like the way one seat or style of handlebar fits you, but you may like the way the other bike rides. That way you can say, “I want this bike with that seat and those handlebars.” If you haven’t ridden in a long time, make sure you are comfortable!! This is the most important.

When you get your new bike home, try to ride 20-40 minutes every other day to create a new and exciting habit. Then once your body gets used to it, increase your time.
